Our Strong Belief in One Another
Humans are not intended to live alone, and as followers of Christ, we should not live our Christian life alone either.
Our strong belief in “one another” can only be felt if we take it into practice by being in intentional, close relationships with each other beyond our Sunday worship service. We are called by God to love using a caring, face-to-face interaction and thus grow in a transformative way.
In addition, we can never overstress the importance of small groups – especially knowing that Satan is real and he wants to defeat us. We should never let our guards down and surrender to the enemy.
CFC small groups help us in so many ways. They consist of like-minded and loving individuals forming a strong church foundation by continuing in Christ’s footsteps. A small group is where people love, forgive, serve, carry each other’s burdens, encourage, pray, speak of truth, confess, and treat each other with love and respect.
This weekend, we'll have a Small Group Fair (before and after Worship Services) in the main foyer. This is a great opportunity to meet small group leaders and get to know some of the groups and what they are studying. And we pray that you might find a group that is a good fit for you. Location, information, and demographics of the group will be included in the information at the tables. There will also be booklets about each small group located at the tables and The Center. There are almost 60 small groups at CFC. We have men or women only groups and co-ed and couples groups. Some meet at the church and some meet in homes. Our desire is that every CFC family has a smaller group they regularly meet and engage with.
If you’d like to explore CFC small groups in advance of the fair, check the SMALL GROUP page on our website. Every group looks a little different, but they all focus on Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Some groups follow the sermon series, while others study other material relevant to their group members. Small groups help to carry out the CFC Vision Statement to “Glorify God by Making Disciples Of All People.”
