Of all of the opportunities you will find at Christian Fellowship Church to get connected, discipleship is our highest priority, and we believe small groups are one of the best ways for this to happen. Our small groups connect individuals desiring a group discipleship experience with leaders and other men and women in the church who can go with them on their path.
Most of our groups close at about 12 people and are generally geared towards a specific demographic – men, women, single, married, younger, older, with kids and without kids in the group. We expect our groups to meet multiple times each month. We also have some virtual small groups.
Every group looks a little different, but they will all focus on Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Some groups follow the sermon series, while others study other material relevant to their group members.
All of our discipleship groups emphasize CFC’s discipleship intentionalities:
1. Fill our minds with the truth of God’s Word
2. Fuel our affection for God
3. Share God’s love by being a witness in their world
4. Commit to the local church by being a member of CFC
5. Spread His glory among all people
6. Make disciples of a few
In other words, we hope that our groups will help people have a stronger knowledge of God’s Word, grow in their love for The Lord, and see that love manifested by serving through CFC both locally and globally. As a result of being a part of a group, we hope that people will learn how to study God’s Word, have a more fervent prayer life, serve others, and enjoy being in relationship with other people.
