A New Ministry is Launching
At CFC, we believe that Marriage Matters because marriage is important to God. We see God instituting marriage as early as Genesis 2, and that theme continues to show up throughout Scripture and reaches its zenith in Revelation 21, the second-to-last chapter in the Bible. Marriage is intended by God to be a place of sacrificial love, covenantal commitment, safety, intimacy, and a relationship that bears fruit for many. Marriage done well points to the reality of our relationship with Christ now, as well as the experience we will have with our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, forever.
A lot of ink in the Bible is given to emphasizing the importance of marriage, as well as the difficulties of marriage. There are matters in marriage – issues that at times can seem insurmountable. The circumstances and sufferings of life that come at us can strain even the best of marriages. Additionally, sin by one spouse (or both) can break trust and connection. Here are a few examples of things that can lead to marital troubles (though this is not an exhaustive list): infidelity, neglect, the loss of a child, unemployment, pornography, addiction, abortion, parenting difficulties, etc.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find a safe place to work through the matters of marriage when the stakes are high, emotions are intense, and we aren’t sure what to do next. At CFC, we want to come alongside and help! Marriage Matters is a new ministry geared toward helping members of our church who are enduring marital difficulties. We know there are some marriages that are struggling, and we are already walking alongside many couples. We pray that you would consider taking the brave step of reaching out for help. For more information on how to do so, please visit onlineCFC.com/MarriageMatters. You can find it under the MINISTRIES tab on our website.
Confidentiality is important to us. If you choose to take this difficult step and fill out the forms, you can be assured that only one person will see the submission and that they will be the one reaching out to you.
If by the grace of God this email doesn’t apply to you, would you commit to praying for this ministry? We really want to see God glorified through the restoration of marriages that are on the verge of ending. Thanks, CFC, for your prayers! We hope to see you this Sunday!
