Blessed to Be a Blessing

One of the most misquoted Bible verses is 1 Timothy 6:10. How do you think it is misquoted? How does the misquotation change the understanding of what Paul is actually conveying?

Read Genesis 12-14; as you are reading through the text, focus on the character of Abram. What characteristics do you see about this man?  What are the cirucumstances or events that reveal his character?

How is Abram's awareness of God as Provider?  

How does this awareness lead him into relationships with others?

Wealth can provide us with a sense of security and significance. How could this lead to idolatry?

What can you learn from Abram's example?

How is your character led through this consideration?

What do you view the wealth and resources God has given you?

Do you see your wealth as God's provision?

At the end of Genesis 14, Abram gives the priest of "God Most High" a tenth of his possessions.
What does the giving of a tenth convey about Abram here?
