We Aren't Meant to Live Alone
We are not intended to live alone, and, as followers of Christ, we should not live our Christian lives alone either. Our strong belief in the dozens of “one another” statements in scripture can only be felt if we put that belief into practice by being in close, intentional relationships with each other beyond our Sunday Worship Services. We are called by God to love others through caring, face-to-face interactions so that we can grow in a transformative way.
We can never overemphasize the importance of small groups, especially since we know that Satan is real, and he wants to defeat us. We should never let down our guards and surrender to the enemy.
CFC small groups help us in so many ways. Our groups consist of like-minded and loving individuals. They form a strong church foundation by helping us continue in Christ’s footsteps. A small group is where people love, forgive, serve, carry each other’s burdens, encourage, pray, speak truth, confess, and treat each other with love and respect.
This weekend and next, we'll have a Discipleship Fair before and after our Sunday Worship Services in the main foyer. This is a great opportunity to meet small group leaders and hear about some of the groups and what they are studying. Perhaps you’ll find a group that is a good fit for you! Location and demographics of the group and other pertinent information will be provided at the tables. You can pick up booklets about each group at the tables or at The Center.
There are almost 60 small groups at CFC. We have men-only and women-only groups, as well as co-ed and couples groups. Some meet at the church, and some meet in homes. Our desire is that every CFC family has a smaller group they regularly meet and engage with. In addition to finding out about small groups, we also want to give you the chance to learn more about other discipleship opportunities at CFC. We will have representatives from our Men’s and Women’s Ministries who can speak with you about the ways you can get involved, as well as a table where you can learn more about Discipleship Academy and register for upcoming classes.
We can't wait to see you this Sunday at one of our four services or while you’re checking out the Discipleship Fair! See you soon!
