CFC Kids
Area Coordinator
Area Coordinators are stationed in the hallways to assist families, oversee safety and security procedures, and monitor classroom needs. They ensure adult-to-child ratios are maintained, track attendance of classroom leaders, and are familiar with Specific Needs Action Plans (SNAP). Area Coordinators support classrooms as needed and promptly notify CFC Kids Staff of any emergencies or issues that arise.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist families during drop-off and pick-up, ensuring they navigate the check-in process smoothly and transition to classrooms seamlessly.
- Oversee and regularly review all safety and security protocols, ensuring they are actively followed.
- Monitor classroom adult-to-child ratios and support classroom leaders, taking headcounts and reconciling them with classroom sign-in sheets.

CFC Kids First Impressions Team Member
First Impressions Team members specialize in creating an inviting, loving, and safe atmosphere for children and families. Roles include greeting families, assisting with check-in processes, and guiding them to appropriate classroom locations.
The Win: You will create a welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging for families and children, preparing their hearts and minds to connect deeply with Jesus through CFC Kids Ministry.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Greet each family and child warmly, ensuring they feel seen and valued.
- Assist families with the computer check-in system and ensure all children are properly registered.
- Guide families to their respective classrooms and help them settle in.
- Be available to answer questions or address any immediate concerns with clarity and grace.
- Help ensure a safe and smooth transition for families by communicating any relevant needs to other team members.

Nursery Team Member
Nursery Team members nurture and care for babies from birth to 20 months, providing a safe, loving environment where children are sung to, prayed over, and comforted.
The Win: You will play a key role in showing the youngest members of the church God’s love through tender care, allowing their parents to worship and grow spiritually without worry.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Make babies (birth to 20 months) feel loved, safe, and secure through attentive care.
- Engage with babies by singing, playing, praying over them, and providing comfort as needed.
- Ensure a clean and secure environment that meets each infant’s physical and emotional needs.
- Change diapers (female volunteers, 18 and over).
- Communicate any special needs, concerns, or updates to the Room Leader or Area Coordinator promptly.

Room Leader
Room Leaders provide spiritual and organizational leadership within the classroom by encouraging and connecting with other classroom leaders. They ensure each volunteer understands their role, follows classroom policies, and teaches from the CFC Kids Ministry curriculum. Room Leaders execute and adapt the plan of action provided by the CFC Kids Staff, delegating tasks as needed to create a purposeful, safe, and spiritually enriching atmosphere each Sunday.
The Win: By fostering a well-structured, spiritually enriching classroom environment, you enable children to deepen their relationship with Jesus and help volunteers to thrive in their roles.
This is the right role for you if:
Volunteer Responsibilities:

- You value supporting and training newer leaders to help them grow in their roles.
- You possess a solid understanding of Bible literacy and demonstrate maturity in your faith.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and encourage a team of classroom volunteers, fostering strong connections and ensuring each leader understands their role.
- Delegate tasks so that each volunteer has a clear purpose and responsibilities within the classroom.
- Verify that the curriculum provided by the CFC Kids Ministry Staff is faithfully taught, ensuring children receive sound biblical instruction.
- Ensure that all classroom policies and safety procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
- Execute the plan of action provided by CFC Kids Staff each Sunday, adapting it as necessary and communicating expectations to team members.
- Pray for your team, offering support and sharing any prayer requests or concerns with CFC Kids Staff.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 1/2 hours per week during Sunday services. Approximately 1 hour during the week to review communications with staff, lesson preparation and communicating with team members.

Small Group Leader
Small Group Leaders build meaningful relationships with children during class time. They assist with assigned tasks such as ensuring children are checked in, participating in activities, and engaging in crafts or discussions.

- Prepare ahead by reading the weekly email and lesson guide, reflecting on discussion questions and allowing God to work on your heart before leading kids in discussion.
- Ensure children are checked in correctly and that safety protocols are consistently followed.
- Guide children through crafts, activities, and discussions, encouraging active participation and engagement.
- Support the Room Leader by assisting with classroom management, addressing any issues, and completing assigned tasks as needed.
Time Commitment: 1 ½ hours per week during Sunday services. 30 minutes per week of preparation time reviewing materials communicated by staff.

Preteen Small Group Leader
Sunday Afternoon Small Group Leaders build meaningful relationships with preteens by actively participating in activities and leading thoughtful discussions on each week’s lesson. They ensure that each preteen is checked in and engaged in class activities, whether through crafts, games, or group discussions. Small Group Leaders also pray with and for the preteens, providing consistent spiritual support and encouragement to help them grow in their faith.
The Win: You will create an environment where 4th & 5th graders feel known, loved, and valued, allowing them to grow spiritually as they learn more about Jesus and His teachings.
This is the right role for you if:
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Time Commitment: 2 ½ hours per week from 3:45 - 6:15 PM on Sundays (most weeks during the school year). 30 minutes per week of preparation time reviewing materials communicated by staff.
Volunteers Needed: 8-12.

- Guide your group through discussions and activities that foster community and encourage active participation and engagement.
- Lead and model prayer within your group, supporting preteens as they learn to pray for one another.

Sidekick (Specific Needs Volunteer)
Sidekicks provide one-on-one support to children with specific needs, helping them feel welcome, loved, and safe as they engage in the CFC Kids Ministry. Paired with an individual child, Sidekicks offer continuity and additional support as needed. They are familiar with the child’s Specific Needs Action Plan (SNAP), hold any necessary life-saving medications, and promptly notify CFC Kids Staff of any emergencies or issues that arise to ensure a safe, inclusive experience.
The Win: By creating a positive and welcoming space for children with specific needs and their families, you are making a lasting impact—ensuring they feel included, loved, and able to participate fully in the ministry, experiencing the joy of learning about Jesus and engaging in corporate worship.

- Pair consistently with an assigned child to build continuity and provide additional support as needed.
- Carry life-saving medications (if required) and stay vigilant for any potential health concerns or emergencies.
- Communicate with CFC Kids staff about any challenges, successes, or urgent issues that arise during the child’s time in class.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 ½ hours per week during Sunday services.

Substitute (Sub)
Substitutes step in when regular volunteers are unavailable or when classrooms are short-staffed. They can serve in various roles, including Room Leader, Small Group Leader, or Nursery Team, and in any age group of their choice.
The Win: By providing flexible, reliable support, you help maintain consistency and continuity in children’s ministry, allowing children to continue learning and growing in their faith without disruption.

VBS Volunteers serve in various roles during Vacation Bible School, helping with tasks such as decorations, crafts, registration, and leading small groups or activities.
The Win: You will help create a dynamic, spiritually enriching environment where children can experience the love of Jesus in a fun, engaging, and memorable way.
This is the right role for you if:
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Time Commitment: Flexible. Pre-VBS tasks may require several hours over multiple weeks. During VBS, volunteers serve for 5 consecutive days (approximately 3-4 hours per day).
Volunteers Needed: 250-300+, depending on role and availability.
Additional Requirements:
