Adult Ministry

Small Group Leader

This person will lead a small group once a week or once every other week and include our church format of Bible Study, prayer and fellowship within the group. This is a leader/facilitator position and not simply a teaching position. This person fosters group discussion within the group.
The Win: Small Group members are welcomed, known, and discipled.

This is the right role for you if: 
  • You are comfortable guiding discussion to keep a group on track.
  • You hospitable and welcoming, with a desire to see lives transformed by the Gospel.
  • You are committed to the vision of CFC
  • You are a member of CFC

Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Lead a group that meets at minimum every two weeks, focused on Bible study, prayer and fellowship.
  • Facilitate discussion, prayer and fellowship with a focus on group discipleship.
  • Be welcoming and hospitable to new and existing small group members.
  • Be the point of contact between your group and CFC.
  • Utilize tools provided by CFC to keep your roster up to ate and record group attendance after each meeting.
  • Keep Adult Ministry staff informed of any changes to group members, meeting location/date/time, and whether or not your group is open to new members. 
  • Participate in small group training opportunities provided by CFC staff and maintain contact with your small group coach.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week.

Men's Ministry

Men’s Help Team 

Be part of several small crews within the CFC family to assist an older member or single mom with physical tasks.
The Win: Tangible needs are met within the body of Christ. Lives are helped and encouraged and love in action is seen by God's people. Helps fulfill the third CFC Discipleship Pathway of Partnering with God in His Mission.

This is the right role for you if:
  • You have the physical stamina necessary to do some manual labor over a typical or standard period of time.
  • You have the time margin to help as needed and the ability to work well with others as part of a group who focus on a particular need in the church congregation.
  • You have a practical desire to use your talents and skills for others. These proficiencies include light carpentry work, light electrical work, cleaning both inside or outside of a home, moving, trimming, light tree work, etc.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Light plumbing work such as interior or exterior faucets, sinks, etc.
  • Mowing and lawn trimming,  leaf raking, tree limbs trimmed. 
  • Light carpentry work such as repairing decks, porches, fence repair.  
  • Light electrical work such as replacing switches, circuit breakers, interior or exterior lighting. 
  • Gutter/downspout cleaning or repair

Time Commitment: This would be an on-call opportunity.  A couple of hours at a job as needed.  With enough team members there would be plenty of help for any need that came up so as not to burden any one individual.

Additional Requirements: Must have own tools.

Men's Event Team

Help with various tasks and roles at Men’s Ministry Events.
The Win: Men’s events can take place more easily and more often for the purpose of men connecting with other men.  The set-up task and other roles are made much easier with an abundance of men serving to complete these steps.  

This is the right role for you if:
  • You are passionate about investing in the men of CFC to become more serious about their walk with Christ. 
  • You enjoy serving others with a joyful, helpful spirit. 
  • You have been blessed by other men investing in your life over the years and you want to give back and make a difference.

Volunteer Responsibilities: 
  • Prayer warriors 
  • Setting up tables
  • Kitchen help
  • Registration at events
  • Table hosting
  • Marketing and promotion of events 

Time Commitment: Up to 2 hours needed per event.

Volunteers Needed: 30

Additional Requirements: None for set up and tear down, but membership if working as a greeter/registration

Women's Ministry

Cookie Baker for 414 Collective

Once a quarter, bring 3-4 dozen homemade cookies to the church to be packaged for 4:14 Collective. 4:14 Collective’s mission is “To bring the hope and freedom of Jesus Christ to those in the adult entertainment industry."
The Win: An indirect way to minister to women who we might otherwise never come into contact

This is the right role for you if:
●   You like to bake cookies or treats - homemade is a requirement
●   You have a heart for reaching the lost
●   You are committed to serving other women

Volunteer Responsibilities:
●   Each quarter bring 3-4 dozen homemade treats to the church
●   If possible, stay and help package the treats

Time Commitment: Baking time. The packaging usually takes about an hour.

Volunteers Needed:  7-8 per event

Additional Requirements:  None

Women's Event Team

Help the Women’s Ministry team prepare, coordinate, and cleanup events.
The Win: Our events help us fulfill our mission of encouraging spiritual growth, engaging women in relationships and equipping women to share their life and His love. Women at CFC will be poured into without any strings attached .

This is the right role for you if: 
  • You love to serve behind the scenes 
  • You enjoy creating a beautiful environment that makes women feel welcome and/or putting it all away
  • You are committed to serving other women 

Volunteer Responsibilities: 
  • Arriving two hours before an event to decorate and prepare the space
  • Moving tables and chairs
  • Setting up food
  • Greeting women as they arrive and getting them registered
  • Cleaning up the space after the event : Sound equipment, tables and chairs, food, trash, etc

Time Commitment: Varies depending on commitment. Generally 2 hours before an event, the duration of the event, and 1.5 hours after an event. Events occur about once a quarter.

Volunteers Needed:  8 per event

Additional Requirements:  None for set up and tear down, but membership if working as a greeter/registration

Meal Team

CFC occasionally receives requests for meals for members who are recovering from an illness or surgery.
The Win: Reflecting Jesus by coming alongside someone in our CFC family in their time of need.

This is the right role for you if:
●       You enjoy cooking or you have an easy recipe or two in your back pocket
●       You have a heart for serving families
●       You enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that you have met a need in someone’s life
●       You have been blessed with a meal and want to bless someone else in this way

Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • As the need arises you will be sent a link to a Meal Train. You can then determine if you’d like to participate. Hopefully you will participate more often than not, but you are not expected to participate in every Meal Train that you are sent.
  • It is not expected that you go into the house - this is just meal delivery

Time Commitment: This is not a ministry that we are promoting, therefore we do not anticipate more than 1 or 2 requests each quarter.

Additional Requirements:  Church membership and a background check, as you may come in contact with children.

Childcare for Moms Group

Provide childcare for the duration of Moms Group, every other Thursday during the school year. Care for, play with, and disciple the young ones (0-5 years old) while their moms are being cared for socially and spiritually.
The Win: Discipling children while their mother's are being disciplined.

This is the right role for you if:

  • You like young children
  • You have a heart for young moms
  • You are committed to serving other women

Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Create a fun, safe environment for the children
  • Check-in and check-out children using the sticker security system
  • Lead children in play time, present the provided lesson, and/or music time
  • Cleanup rooms and put all toys away. Empty trash (especially diapers) and replace liners. Vacuum if necessary.
  • Report any concerns about a child to the Childcare Coordinator or a member of the Moms Group Staff (Kyle Carnahan or Laura Lehmann)

Time Commitment: 3 hours every other Thursday morning during the school year

Volunteers Needed: 16 volunteers needed

Additional Requirements:  Membership and background check as you may have contact with children

Childcare Coordinator for Moms Group

Oversee the childcare for Moms Group, every other Thursday during the school year. Work alongside CFC staff to ensure the classrooms are running smoothly.
The Win: Discipling children while their mother's are being disciplined.

This is the right role for you if:
●       You like young children
●       You have a heart for young moms
●       You are committed to serving other women

Volunteer Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for the coordinator are actually listed under the childcare role.
  • Manages the childcare classrooms during Mom Group
  • Makes sure classrooms are ready upon children arriving
  • Fills in where there is need in the classrooms from week to week
  • Makes sure the room is reasonably clean after the children leave
  • This role is not asked to recruit, train, or schedule sitters. They are also not responsible for setting up play stations and sanitizing the rooms.

Time Commitment: 3 hours every other Thursday morning during the school year

Mom's Group Team Lead

Provide leadership in Moms Group through mentorship, programming, or facilitating community.
The Win: Mom’s Group is a ministry for moms to connect with God and others. Young moms will be encouraged in their journey of motherhood.

This is the right role for you if:
●       Are a seasoned mother who loves to encourage and assist other mothers
●       You enjoy talking about the joys and hardships of motherhood without judgment or condemnation
●       You enjoy planning a program that educates and encourages women while sharing the love of Christ

Volunteer Responsibilities:
●   Help design the yearly program schedule with topics and speakers
●   Communicate with the Moms at your table regularly
●   Attend all Moms Group meetings

Time Commitment:
  • 2 hours every-other week plus weekly communication
  • Three 2-3 hour planning meeting per year 

Volunteers Needed: 8 - 10
